Mrs. Kimble is a member of the Texas Nurse Association, the American Nurse’s Association and Sigma Theta Tau.

Nezar Ahmed Salim is the In-Service Educator and Nurse Researcher in Dubai Hospital, Dubai United Arab Emirates. He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Hashemite University in 2012 and proceeded to Master’s Degree, Major in Oncology in 2014 with an exemplary GPA of 3.39 in the same university. He started as a staff nurse in the Medical-Surgical Oncology Unit, King Hussain Cancer Center in Amman, Jordan from 2012-2015. With commitment for excellence and career growth, he established the Journal Club at King Hussein Cancer Center and was awarded as a “Champion Nurse” of Research in the Magnet Program. From 2015-2018, He worked as an Oncology Nurse in Dubai Hospital. Through hard work and tenacity, he was eventually promoted to Nurse Researcher and Educator. Throughout his career, Mr. Salim has published 20 researches and articles in different international nursing journals. The Al-Jalila Foundation approved his study entitled “Knowledge and Attitude of Oncology Nurses’ towards Cancer Pain Management in United Arab Emirates, 2017” a study grant to support the cause of the research. He is also a distinguished speaker and organizer of Nursing Conferences. In 2017, he is awarded by the Government of Dubai for “You’re our Pride”, Research Category. The Dubai Health Authority acknowledge him as a “Recognized Staff” for his dedication and initiative in the practice of Nursing. Currently, he is a Board Editorial member of 2 Medical Journals, The Medical Science Journal and Dubai Medical Journal. As a nurse researcher, he has a Good clinical Practice Certificate (GCP) which upholds the scientific quality standards of clinical trials.

Mary is Professor of Mental Health Nursing and Director of the Centre for Public Engagement, Faculty of Health, Social Care and Education, Kingston University and St George's, University of London. Throughout her career she has held a number of clinical, managerial and academic positions including coordinator of the Northern Ireland Centre for Health Informatics. She is involved in a number of research projects locally and internationally. She is a fellow of both the Royal Society of Medicine and the European Academy of Nurse Scientists, and an expert panel member of HORATIO, the European Association for Psychiatric Nurses, and a member of the Institute of Leadership and Management. Mary has a well-established record of patient and public involvement (PPI) in education and research dating back to the 1980s. Outcomes of her work with respect to PPI in both these areas have had impact nationally and internationally. Integral to this work has been the co-production and delivery of education programmes, as well as PPI at all stages of the research process. PPI is one of her key research interests.

Dr. Kikuko Iwanaga is a Professor joined in 2015 in Niigata College of Nursing. She received her Master’s degree from Nagasaki Junshin Catholic University and done her PhD in medical science from the Department of Social Medicine, Nagasaki University Graduate School of Medicine in 2005. After experiencing nurses and management at Nagasaki University Hospital, she is engaged in nursing education and research at educational institutions. After working as an Associate Professor in School of Health Sciences Nagasaki University. In addition, from 2007 to 2015, she served as a professor in Graduate School of Health Sciences, Gunma University. She is doing research work with professors on basic nursing sciences and nursing management. Currently she worked for Niigata College of Nursing. She received the Best Picture Award at 14th International Society of Nursing Care, 2006 in Toronto.

Kikuko Iwanaga studied nursing and has completed her PhD in medical science from the Nagasaki University Graduate School of Medicine. She worked as a nurse, a nurse chief, a head nurse, and she works now as a researcher, as a professor. Her research field concerns nursing management studies and nursing education. While taking advantage of clinical experience, she is conducting research on nursing personnel training and development of nursing delivery system to improve the quality of nursing. The environment surrounding medical treatment in Japan has been changed due to shortage of doctors, shortage of nurses, depopulation, revision of medical treatment fee, and so on. She is developing a system that can respond to patients by utilizing the detailed expertise of nurses more than ever. This is a specialized nursing outpatient as a model operated by a nurse working in cooperation with medical treatment.

Dr Ritin Fernandez is jointly appointed by the University of Wollongong and St George Hospital as the Professor of Nursing. She is also the Director of the Centre for Evidence Based Initiatives in Health Care, a Collaborating Centre of the Joanna Briggs Institute. At St George Hospital, Professor Fernandez has established the Centre for Research in Nursing and Health (CRNH) which focuses on enhancing nursing and midwifery practice through knowledge generation, knowledge transfer and knowledge implementation.

Professor Fernandez’s research interests have focused on evidence based practice, clinical informatics, randomised controlled trials, patient safety, chronic disease management, cardiovascular disease and health in culturally and linguistically diverse communities. In the past five years, she has published over 80 peer reviewed publications and is the primary supervisor for 7 PhD students and 4 Masters by research candidates.

Dr. Vanderhoef is an assistant professor of nursing and psychiatry at Vanderbilt University, and is the academic director of the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program at the School of Nursing. She is a practice active member of the academic community, providing direct patient care to patients in the psychosis clinic. Her dissertation and scholarly interests include integrated care, and physical health of persons with a severe mental illness (SMI). She has published and presentation on the topics of nursing education, PMHNP’s graduate education, integrated care, and care of persons with a SMI. Additionally, Dr. Vanderhoef developed and delivers webinars and live review courses to prepare new PMHNP graduates for board certification. She is a board certified PMHNP and a Fellow of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, and one of her many awards include American Psychiatric Nurses Association’s psychiatric nurse educator of the year.

I have taught numerous courses at the bachelor’s and graduate level. This includes didactic and clinical areas of instruction. I have taught community nursing at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and my dissertation. Some of these courses include a focus in community nursing. I have been responsible for planning, coordinating and participating in several large community related events. My dissertation, A Quantitative Study on Perceptions of Support Services and Student Persistence at a Southern University explored race and gender student retention at a HBCU in Southwest, Georgia. My master’s and doctorate level training and leadership roles within the college has provided me with insight, leadership, and compassion to further guide others in the facilitation of knowledge. I have also been Senior Level Bachelor Coordinator and Graduate Level Coordinator for various Nurse Education programs. In 2013, I developed and implemented a NCLEX board preparation course that helped the institution to improve their board passing rates from 75% to 100%. I have also been involved with various college level programs that are responsible for enhancing and maintaining the excellence level of institutions ensuring continued accreditation such as the Program Evaluation (PET) Committee, Curriculum Development Committee, and Faculty Senate Committee.

Joyce Bredesen, DNP, RN, PHN, is an Associate Professor of Nursing at Metropolitan State University in St. Paul, Minnesota. Her expertise and passion is teaching public health nursing. Dr. Bredesen teaches both undergraduate and graduate nursing courses primarily in Public Health Nursing. She also is faculty advisor for DNP students and their projects. Dr. Bredesen’s research interests are working primarily with underserved populations. Her most recent research includes work with PhotoVoice and Parkinson’s disease. She has done research with the homeless population in Minnesota, as well as women’s health care issues in both India and Senegal.
